With over 30 years of experience in neurorehabilitation, this background combines academic leadership as a former Senior Vice President and Dean at University of Texas Medical Branch and accomplished researcher in motor control physiology and exercise science. A pioneer in robotic neurorehabilitation, hiswork includes more than 70 publications and 7 patented devices, alongside his current international collaboration as a visiting scholar at RWTH Aachen University's Institute for Automatic Control.
Meredith D. Brown

Meredith brings more than three decades of clinical experience as a physical therapist, specializing in pediatric and neurological rehabilitation. She is also an Assistive Technology Professional and Certified Brain Injury Specialist. For the past four years, she has served in a leadership role at Moody Neurorehabilitation Institute. Her rare combination of clinical expertise, technical knowledge, research experience, and leadership reflects her commitment to establishing and ensuring the success of the inaugural Houston clinic.
Valerie Gibson
PT, DPT
Operational Advisor
Valerie Gibson is a neurological physical therapist with more than 40 years of experience in neurological rehabilitation. She is the founder of Advanced Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Center, LLC, and a pioneer in the clinical integration of rehabilitation robotics. Dr. Gibson also serves as Affiliate Faculty in the Department of Bioengineering at George Mason University, fostering collaboration between engineering and rehabilitation to advance innovative, evidence-based patient care.
Stephanie Perlman

Bringing over 20 years of experience in patient care, Dr. Perlman was a physician at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City with an interest in children with complex medical needs. Her background spans pediatric clinical care, hospital administration, and medical education, including two decades on faculty at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Pamela Duncan

With over 40 years of experience as an internationally recognized stroke rehabilitation scientist and health systems innovator, Dr. Duncan's work has transformed neurorecovery and post-acute care. She currently serves as CEO & Founder of Care Directions and as an Adjunct Professor at Wake Forest School of Medicine. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology and MA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

With more than 30 years of specialized experience, Dr. Scher is a Professor of Clinical Orthopedic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Attending Orthopedic Surgeon in the Division of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery at Hospital For Special Surgery in New York City, where he is co-medical director of the Leon Root Motion Analysis Lab.
